A few days ago, the Provincial Medical Officer of Health in Alberta and British Columbia required that only essential visitors be allowed into our communities as a way to protect the most vulnerable and the elderly. Residents have an increased risk of severe illness, hospitalization, and even death if they contract COVID-19.

British Columbia has declared a public health emergency, as officials announce 83 new cases of the novel coronavirus and three new deaths.
The province has now recorded a total of 186 cases and seven COVID-19 deaths.

British Columbia has recorded three new coronavirus deaths, as the total number of cases in the province topped 100 on Monday.
Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry said the deaths, which bring the total number of fatalities in the province to four, are all connected to the Lynn Valley Care Centre in North Vancouver.
