Celebrating AgeCare Employees
AgeCare employees are the best of the best!
The magnitude of skill, commitment, and compassion that is demonstrated every day, at every level of AgeCare operations, is truly astonishing.
From our housekeeping staff to our recreation teams; from our care teams to our food services, maintenance, and environment teams; from our administration, finance, and payroll departments to our leadership teams; we are a family of exceptional people.
This week and every week, we wish to acknowledge, appreciate, and celebrate our amazing employees. Give yourselves a hand … you are all awesome!

COVID-19 UPDATE
As of June 15, the government implemented Step 3 in the plan to ease COVID-19 restrictions in Alberta. Specifically, mandatory isolation is now a recommendation only, and mandatory masking on public transit is lifted.
For continuing care communities like ours, our current restrictions and protocols remain in place, including continuous masking in our communities, as outlined in our Visitor Guide (pdf). We know this will change soon, as further easing is planned for the end of June, but for now, we remain focused on our top priority, which is to keep our residents and staff as safe and healthy as possible.
With the new lifting of measures outside of our sites, we wish to remind everyone that our residents are extremely vulnerable to infectious illnesses such as COVID-19, and they depend on us to make responsible choices that help minimize their risk. To that end, our staff will continue to self-screen and will contact their supervisor if they feel unwell. If you are a visitor feeling unwell or at risk of contracting COVID-19, we ask that you refrain from visiting our communities.
On a positive note, we want to take this opportunity to thank you ... our incredible staff, volunteers, and our dedicated families. Since the beginning, you have been on the front lines of the pandemic and have adhered to the restrictions and protocols put in place to protect us all. Indeed, we are grateful, and we feel certain that our collective actions have made a huge impact and have been greatly appreciated by our cherished AgeCare residents.
Get Boosted
Vaccine effectiveness against infection may decline over time, but they remain the best way to prevent severe illness and death. Additional doses can boost immunity to improve protection and limit spread.
For maximum protection from COVID-19, residents have been offered a fourth dose of the vaccine.
For staff or anyone looking to book a COVID-19 vaccine, you can book bookvaccine.alberta.ca, visit a walk-in clinic, or call 811.
You have COVID Questions? We have Answers!
As we move into year three of the pandemic, many of you have questions about the protocols and processes (past and present) we have implemented in our communities.
We are pleased to provide you with a quick link where you will find ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ accompanied by our best efforts at providing answers.
While many restrictions have been lifted outside of our community, we wish to reiterate the need for safe, responsible practices in our centres, including continuous masking and hand hygiene. Remember! Help us limit potential exposure to COVID by staying away if you are unwell.
Our recreation team works hard to create engaging activities that enrich the mind, body and spirit. We are continuously looking for ways to reduce the risk of transmission while having the least impact on our residents’ well-being.
Please note that communities with an exposure or on outbreak may have different recreation restrictions in effect. Contact your community or sign up for email updates to stay informed on the latest information.
For our AgeCare communities from Revera, your Family Portal is still available to you to access your loved one’s activitypro page. You can log in with your usual username and password at online.activitypro.net/users/login/agecare.
